The Parsons-Fein Training Institute for
Psychotherapy and Hypnosis, Inc. (PFTI)

The mission of the Institute is to educate psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, nurse clinicians and other Mastersand-above level health related professionals in the hypnotic and therapeutic approaches to Milton H. Erickson and of Virginia Satir and to maintain the rigor and vigor of their work.

We propose to conduct a comprehensive 220-hour sequential training program. The first 100-hour program focuses on Milton H. Erickson's approaches to psychotherapy and hypnosis; the second 120-hour training integrates the Satir Model and Ericksonian approaches.

We propose to conduct research designed to validate the effectiveness of these therapeutic approaches.

We propose to publish scholarly articles periodically designed to educate professionals about these therapeutic techniques.

We propose to assemble a professional reference library including audio visual materials for the use of psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, nurse clinicians and other master-and-above level professionals on the therapeutic techniques and values of Milton H. Erickson and Virginia Satir.

We propose to make available on a universal level, trainings of consistently high quality and content.

The Institute is incorporated in the State of Delaware. The Founding Director is Jane A. Parsons-Fein, CSW, BCD, DAHB, in New York City.
